This is our 16th ARTroads Academy workshop in this incredible locale, an hour from Florence. Improve your talents, draw inspiration from the amazing locale, and use the time to focus on your art! Live like an Italian!
Your workshop includes:
Classes: professional artists & instructors, 5 mornings, on-site, our instructors provide daily guidance on approach, techniques and results; Choose from our three curriculum:
"Acrylic and Art Approaches"; Chris Holt, or
"Landscapes in Oil”; Richard Robinson, or
“Watercolor ~ Tuscany & Technique"; Pamela Rhodes
Accommodations: 7 nights, in 2 or 3 bedroom, "agriturisimo apartamente"* (restored, stone farmhouses, with modern kitchens & baths), in the luscious Casentino Valley, just 35 miles east of Florence
En Plein Air, optional, afternoon painting outings, strengthening technique, and just more painting!
Transportation: transfers to and from the local bus or rail station (10 minutes away) and to and from all ARTroads off-site events (airfare and transportation to and from your home aren’t included in the tuition)

"All'aperto" lunch; onsite, with brick-oven specialties

ARTroads alum and select arts organization members; $3,240. pp. dbl.

You have the talent! All we need to do is connect you with the Tuscan countryside, the food, wine, and camaraderie. Of course, there will be ample time for you to focus on honing your skills.
Artists chosen for residency, will receive a $1,000. (USD) credit toward the non-discounted accommodations they choose. Just enter “Artist in Residence Application” in the message box here and you will receive an application. via email. Application forms need to be submitted by May 31st, 2026.
