Rhodes' Gallery    Pamela believes that everyone is capable of seeing and illustrating the world that surrounds us.  She is the founder and director of ARTroads, an illustrator, and an accomplished instructor  A skilled portrait and landscape artist, Pamela has taught drawing, portrait and watercolor classes for numerous organizations, and directed workshops in Italy, Mexico, and the States.  She recently completed a fifty-foot, local marine life mural in the Yucatan and several underwater seascapes, seaside, at the Sea of Cortez.   Pamela is a patient and prepared instructor who provides the tools and techniques that allow each student to develop and improve their drawing skills. 

She believes that the skill of seeing, combined with the practice of drawing, results in the excitement of expression!

Pamela Rhodes is the founder, director, and instructor at ARTroads.  She believes that everyone is capable of seeing the world that surrounds us more deeply and also capable of transposing that vision onto paper and canvas.

A technical illustrator, her art emphasizes portraits of people and places. watercolor works are owned by clients throughout the US, Mexico, England, and Italy. She has taught classes for numerous organizations, non-profits, and corporate retreats.  She offers her signature class "Learning to Draw So You Can Paint" in San Francisco, the Yucatan, and as an essential part of the Tuscany art workshop each autumn.

The recent pandemic inspired her to produce a series of Zoom workshops conducted on behalf of the City Club of San Francisco; “Drawing”, “Basic Watercolor” and “Portraits”.   She organized and marketed educational seminars for the artist members collaborating with California Lawyers for the Arts. 

Pamela is a patient and prepared instructor, providing the tools and techniques to develop drawing and painting skills.  She is committed to having each of us see all that surrounds us and then drawing and painting those treasures we see.  She believes that the skill of seeing, really seeing, combined with the practice of drawing and painting, results in the wondrous expression of personal vision.
